Engineering choices

Validate at the edge
Bad input is rejected before it costs an AI call or pollutes the CRM.

AI as a classifier, not an oracle
The model returns a fixed JSON shape (intent, urgency, service). Code makes the decisions.

Idempotent writes and retries
Every enquiry has an ID, so a retry never creates a duplicate lead.

Visible failure
Anything that can’t be delivered lands in a queue with an alert, never in silence.
